AUTODRIVE CHALLENGE

This competition continues the strong partnership between GM and SAE in STEM education and will build on the ground-breaking success of the original four-year series, AutoDrive Challenge™. Our second series aims to have participating university teams develop and demonstrate an autonomous vehicle (AV) that can navigate urban driving courses as described by SAE Standard (J3016™) Level 4 automation.

Competition Partner

AutoDrive Challenge™ II is a partnership between SAE and General Motors where 10 universities develop autonomous solutions over four years to reach level 4 autonomy as defined by SAE Standard J3016. Participating teams in ADCII will receive a Chevy Bolt EUV, as well as software, hardware and support from our industry sponsors and partners.

Event Dates

This year's competition will be held at University of Michigan's M-City in Ann Arbor, Michigan on June 6-12, 2022. This will be the program's third year hosting the competition at this facility.
